The AU-EU Business Forum 2025 was not simply a platform for meaningful dialogue. Partnerships agreements were signed – not least four to harness the first AI-enabled, programmable Project Preparation Facility. Launched by AfCEN, the Africa Climate Energy Nexus, this digital-first platform is designed to dramatically increase the number, quality and speed of investment-ready projects across the continent. Harnessing agentic AI, structured data and standardised workflows, the PPF helps governments and developers move faster from ideas to bankable projects, while strengthening national systems, and lowering preparation costs.
